What is the Northern Ireland Mapping Agreement?
The Northern Ireland Mapping Agreements (NIMA) are in place to provide access to and use of key official & definitive spatial datasets (such as those created by Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland) to Public Sector organisations.
These Public Sector organisations include the Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) Departments, Northern Ireland’s Local Councils, Non Departmental Public Bodies, Arms-Length Bodies and North-South Implementation Bodies.
NIMA datasets are central in the decision making processes involved in delivering the Public Task(s) of your Public Sector organisations as they all seek to improve the services from Government to the people of Northern Ireland.
